About the Instructors
When not in rehearsal or lessons:

Sam can be found reading up on current plays & musicals, designing sets, playing practical jokes, getting into trouble and causing his wife to prematurely go gray.

Kristen can be found writing children's books and trying to learn new things like how to draw, how to speak Spanish or dancing around the living room with an impish 6 year old.

But who are they really?
Students who love to work
and who love to grow
thrive in this environment.
Many of them have
gone on to excel in
university music programs
as well as perform on
stage and screen.

Sam and Kristen have over 13 years of teaching experience each and have performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall, the Bardavon, Lincoln Center and Helen Hayes.  They each hold degrees in music (B.M.) and education (MSEd).  They continue to pursue excellence through regular and ongoing professional development.  Kristen is currently working as an adjunct professor at NYU.  Samuel maintains an active performance schedule in Manhattan.  In addition, they continue to conduct two choirs and maintain an active training studio.

Sam and Kristen are invested in their students.  They love working with singers, no matter what the background or the challenges.  They propel their students forward by providing encouragement, support and sound technique.  Growth is exciting and both of them respond to it with enthusiasm

If you have questions, please feel free to contact us.  Maybe we can help demystify the process of training and help explain its accessibility.

We also offer a quick (and free) consultation/diagnostic
if you're unsure of what to
expect or where to start.
